hello@alabamachambers.com

Prior to Covid-19, we partnered with Huntingdon College for the Economic and Community Development Scholars Program. We are excited to announce that we are bringing this program back. The Economic and Community Development Scholars Program introduces rising high school seniors who are poised to begin their professional journeys to the importance of economic and community development.

We need you to nominate and sponsor one student who is a rising high school senior and who has achieved at least a 3.4 GPA during high school coursework to participate in the program. The cost to sponsor a student is $200 and includes meals, lodging on campus, materials, and entertainment. Nominations are due by May 1, 2024.

This program will:

  • Open students’ minds to new career possibilities
  • Provide hands-on and on-site training and observation
  • Allow rising high school seniors to network with and learn from young and seasoned economic professionals
  • Spark critical thinking through think-tanks and problem-solving simulations
  • Start a flame of understanding regarding the importance of economic and community development
