Homewood Chamber Gets New Executive Director

Homewood Chamber

March 15, 2024

The Homewood Chamber is thrilled to announce their new Executive Director, Shay Gartman! Shay is stepping into the role after Meredith Drennen who has served as the Director for the last 9 years has resigned to accept a position with the Birmingham Business Alliance. Many of you know Shay as she has been the Chamber’s Events and Office Manager since 2021.
"Homewood is special because of its schools, businesses, churches, superior police force and fire departments, dedicated city officials and employees, and residents. It is my belief that Homewood businesses set the standard as stakeholders in the Homewood community and the surrounding areas, and my aim is to continue spotlighting and promoting all the efforts that go into making Homewood a great place to live and do business." - Shay
It’s a bittersweet chapter for the chamber as they say goodbye to Meredith, whose leadership has been hugely impactful for their team and their community. We wish her great success on her new journey at The Birmingham Business Alliance.
“Serving Homewood has been the highlight of my career, and I have loved my time in this role. With well established ties to Homewood and a unique skill set, I feel confident that Shay will do a fantastic job serving our community. I look forward to seeing how Shay takes the Chamber to a new era of growth and support for local businesses.” - Meredith
Meredith will be with the chamber through Taste of Homewood on March 21st.
