Happy Summer! Hard to believe as I write this the calendar has flipped to June. Hopefully, for many of you that means a chance to slow down a bit, soak in some sun, and spend some time with family.
May was a month that started off with wrapping up a great Executive Leadership Conference hosted by the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce. Thank you again to everyone that joined us. The first week also brought a trip to visit the Eufaula-Barbour County Chamber of Commerce team with our partner at ATN. Connecting our chambers to the vast resources of our strategic partners is one of our cornerstone priorities. The week wrapped up with a chat with Whitney and Paige of ATN for an episode of their podcast AL Manufacturing Now- coming to the airwaves soon!
Thank you to Sandy at the Elba Chamber of Commerce for a great Wiregrass Regional Roundtable. It is always a great day spent with chamber professionals sharing ideas and best practices and supporting each other. We were glad to have representatives from Elba, Pike County Chamber, Eufaula-Barbour County Chamber, and Enterprise Chamber join us.
Before closing out the month on our annual Hutto family vacation, I was honored to join the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce team and board for their board retreat in Huntsville. Kudos to Joey and team for a great retreat.
As June sets in, I am hard at work preparing to chair this year’s Southeast Institute. It is an honor to serve a program that has given so much to me personally and professionally. It is also an honor to represent the state of Alabama and each of you.
