The best time of the year is here! The “ber” months are upon us, college football has kicked off, and spooky season is just around the corner, even if Alabama’s temperatures haven’t gotten the message yet.
August was busy in all the best ways. I attended the BCA Governmental Affairs Conference at The Grand, continued planning for our upcoming Professional Development Conference presented by The Fund, and had the privilege of speaking at the Saraland Area Chamber of Commerce Women’s Conference.
I also did a quick site visit for Alabama Chambers’ 90th Anniversary Annual Conference & Awards. Where will we celebrate this milestone? Hint, hint: you’ll want to be at PDC when we announce the location! I do hope you’ve already got the dates August 16-19, 2027, marked in red on your calendar.
Looking ahead continued with a 2027 planning lunch with Susan Carothers of SurePoint Strategies, and we wrapped up the month by connecting with chamber professionals during our Regional Roundtable in Phenix City. Big thank you to East Alabama Chamber of Commerce for hosting.
