The Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama (Alabama Chambers) proudly announced Linda Lewis, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Walker County, as the 2025 recipient of the Jamie Wallace Award during The Partnership Annual Meeting held in Birmingham.

During the 2025 Alabama Chambers Professional Development Conference presented by Alabama Self-Insured Worker’s Compensation Fund, held in Tuscaloosa, AL, five chamber professionals were recognized with the Distinguished Service Award for their career achievements and tenure of service to the chamber industry.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, fall leaves, everything pumpkin, Friday night lights, college football, cooler weather… well, 3 out of 5 isn’t bad. September was a great week of visits, planning, and connection.

The month started off with a planning call with the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce to start plans for a great 2026 Executive Leadership Conference. Mark your calendars for April 28-30, 2026 for a can’t miss conference in the Rocket City!

The Alabama Small Business of the Year Awards presented by The Partnership of the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama (CCAA) and the Business Council of Alabama (BCA), recognizes the very best in Alabama small business. 40 Alabama small businesses have been named as finalists. Presented annually, the awards recognize businesses of merit based on a variety of civic endeavors, business success and community involvement.

August proved to be a hot month in Alabama (isn’t it always) and your Alabama Chambers team was hot on the road working and visiting.The month kicked off with the largest BCA Government Affairs Conference to date! It was phenomenal weekend at The Grand in Point Clear with BCA, government and business leaders from across Alabama. Kudos to the entire BCA team for a job well done!

While July didn’t take me far from Montgomery, it was still a month full of meaningful work and strong connections for your Alabama Chambers team.We kicked off the month on July 1 with a fantastic visit to the Hoover Chamber for their board orientation. Eight Finalists participated in the Alabama statewide competition: an in-person live event featuring two rounds of civics questions followed by a Q&A round to test their civics knowledge. Lucas Garrard from Dauphin Junior High School took first place, followed by Caroline Roach and Rohan Sahoo for second and third places, respectively.
